DBFZ Air Intercept v1.0
Difficulty Advanced
Focus Air Intercept
The intention of this bot is to help players learn to quickly target and defend from an opponent from their own evasive or neutral aerial movement (such as neutral jumps, defensive back jumps, or positions after air-teching). This does not focus much on conversions, but players can add their conversions into bigger damage, to their efforts, once they get better at the awareness required.
The characters for this form of the bot are Broly or Nappa (see In-Depth section at the end of this page regarding how to make the choice, if you have Broly available as DLC), Piccolo, and Gohan (teen), in that order.

Goals
Completing each action gives 1 point. Try to get to 10 points without having your whole team defeated and without defeating the opposing team.
- A - From a neutral or defensive back jump, hit your opponent with 2H if they happened to approach from the air.
- B - From a neutral or defensive back jump, react to your opponent's position and take one of the following actions:
- If your opponent approaches you, use your jumping Heavy to hit them as you drop down on them. (Some characters may be able to use jumping Medium.)
- If your opponent jumps into the air or super dashes, use a forward attacking air special if you have one to clip them before they can hurt you. (Some characters such as Kid Buu can use an air normal here.)
- If your opponent stays where they are, use the safest move you have from your current spacing.
- C - After being hit in the air, perform an air recovery and hit your opponent with the proper option from point B based on your position.
- D - When your opponents approach while you are in the air, hit them with your assists, using them to cover the space under you that you may not be able to cover as easily on your own.
Difficulty Levels
- Easy - Points given for ABCD
- Medium - Points given for BCD only
- Hard - Points given for B and C only

In-Depth
This team, especially if Broly is available, generally put pressure on the player to move while attacking from relatively far away, in ways that encourage defensive aerial movement. In order for that movement to pay off in some way, the player must be able to relax enough to focus on the opponent's choices rather than their own position, once they have gone into the air. If Nappa is used instead, he may end up being a bit more limiting since his use of Super Meter may result in the player just 'being hit' due to trying things in the air, but overall his abilities still properly match the intent and will teach the intended skills. We suggest turning Action #5 on if you use a team with strong 'zoning', i.e. 'can do beams from air easily, especially if they can do multiple directions'. Basically this is just Goku, Goku(Super Saiyan) and Vegeta(SSGSS), though if you play any characters like this along with Trunks, Cell, or Krillin, you may still want to consider it.
